Bin Hayyan has the best form on account of his debut fourth at Haydock and his lesser subsequent effort came in a warm race at York. However, he still has something to prove after last time and preference is for CHELSEA ANNIE, who was a promising third on her debut at Pontefract a fortnight ago.

The sole newcomer Skittlebombz may be the main danger, with Tom Dascombe 3-9 with two-year-olds here in the past five seasons. The well-bred Mackenzie Rose failed to handle Brighton on her first start and could leave that run well behind today.

The step up to 1m 2f could prompt the required improvement from the Mark Johnston-trained three-year-old STATE OF BLISS and he is the selection ahead of six-time course winner Glasses Up, who is running at Ayr for the first time this year. Handicap newcomer Noble Crusade is next on the list.

Not many of these appeal and the consistent ROYAL COUNTESS (NAP) looks sure to play a leading role. The danger could be Capla Lass, who kept on for a promising fifth on her handicap debut over 1m at Musselburgh this week. Tarnhelm and One Last Hug might not be far away.

Granted better fortune than last time out, COVIGLIA and John Jasper may fill the first two places, in that order. Third choice is Caballero.

Five-time course winner Redarna is a key player having returned to form at Haydock last time, but this could go to the unexposed three-year-old BULLS AYE. He kept on for a promising third over 7 furlongs at Musselburgh on his handicap and seasonal debut, and should be suited by the step up to 1m. Fellow three-year-old Headingley has also shown plenty of promise and the first-time blinkers could be a plus.

This is an excellent opportunity for FIRST COMPANY to get off the mark. He posted an RPR of 95 at Chester recently and that is miles better than anything the other two have achieved. Cometh The Man arrives in good form and can be next best.

The well-handicapped TANASOQ returned to winning ways at Newcastle recently and can follow up under promising amateur Bradley Roberts. Hard Solution goes well for Matthew Ennis and is second choice, ahead of Pavers Pride.

13:30 State Of Bliss
