  5. Hi Lena. Thank you for your comment.
I am doing Football Business and Finance at UCFB. Just finishing my 2nd year.
I must agree with all you have said. “Don’t expect everything to be given to you”…You just have to fight for it.
    Here is my reflection:
    – 1st year: you are less likely to get internship / work placement. You can concentrate on acquiring knowledge and rules governing ‘academic’ life. Moreover, there is this unspoken rule of 80% tuition time attendance which is the starting point for outside study sporting experience.
    – 2nd year: you are more likely to get internships. I have done quite a few: FIFA WC U20 (yep, I have seen Halaand play), RFL Final (Wembley), NFL2019 (all 4 games), SportsPro Fan Engagement (which was mind blowing taking into consideration the guest speakers) and I am currently doing my 6 month internship with IterPro (sport data app).
If there was no COVID19, I was already assigned to do UEFA Europa League Final, SportsPro Conference, ISC London Conference and UEFA European Championships this summer (well, it has to wait). This was also a year full of great UCFB Guest Speakers. Finance, governing bodies, CEOs…just to name a few.
Yet, I have also discovered that UCFB is highly competitive. Great, amazing people always willing to help you out but…highly competitive. The competition is also about limited internship places.
    – 3rd year: I will post you back in 365 days!
Thank you for you great feedback!
    All the best.
