  1. The photo used in the video rendering is courtesy of Nathan Kelly of the National Blitz League.

  2. Mr. Tom Murphy is a wonderful person to meet 💯 I call him Grandmaster Murphy 💯 . Grandmaster Murphy always come to my house 💯. Much 💓 to the Grandmaster Murphy 💯

  3. This is almost 40 minutes of interviews with Murph at my apartment during the 2016 World Open, when I was hosting him. We were sparring partners in the late 1980s (very few strong players liked to play all night) and my mom and I entered him in the 1989 World Open Blitz where he split matches with Byrne and Saidy to pick up $300 in the u2200 section. I gave him my library when I quit and he seems to have put it to good use. He’s the strongest middlegame player I’ve ever played against and his style has tremendously influenced mine. (p.s. it was 100 degrees with no AC when we filmed).

  4. I used to pay this guy a few bucks a game to kick my butt at the chess Pavillion on the beach at north Ave. Good to see him looking well
