In recent years, sports bettors have been given the option of Cashing Out their bets in the middle of a game. Cashing out in Sports Betting is something that is considered to be the safe option or a profitable option for bettors, a middle-way between partially winning the bet and risking to lose it all. But if you take a step back and think, why would bookmakers include something in their offerings if it’s only going to help sports bettors, well that’s obviously because it’s not. It’s actually a very lucrative revenue source for bookmakers. Alex explains why.

  1. I CASHED out today £690 on William Hill. My amount to win was £10780, my last bets was man u – liverpool and Lazio vs sassuolo (Lazio and man u btsw)I CASHED out when Liverpool made 2-2 and Lazio was 1-1 with both 20 min to go. Guess what, man u won 3-2 and Lazio 2-1. I’m beating my self up now. NEVER EVER I’M CASHING OUT AGAIN!

  2. Thanks your clip just saved my money . I almost cashed out 35 % of of my stake in 84 minutes ( BTTS) but exactly in 90 other home team scored and BTTS went through 😁😁😁

  3. If your stakes are high enough and are winning quite significantly in the match, sometimes there is no cashout option available. The bookmaker removes it.

  4. I agree that cashing out is -EV but I think there’s something to be said about using it for cover. I’ve found great success in keeping my accounts longer by cashing out certain bets where the odds moved against me before kickoff. Same as logging in to play some $1-2 hands of blackjack during the day without betting. I’m burning some EV but it’s marginal compared to the added EV I can generate by keeping my account limit free or with few limits for an extra few hundred bets. You need to reach a certain stake size to make it worthwhile though.

  5. See people saying this all the time and It’s confusing advice for new betters. You should not cash out on a soft bookmaker for the reasons you mentioned.

You absolutely should cash out with exchanges like betfair. Where the cashout is based on the current lay price.
