WynnBET continues to make noise within the ever-expanding US legal sports betting industry. Their latest moves came Thursday with two huge announcements – the signing of sporting legends Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson, Tim Howard, and Nick Mangold as brand ambassadors and the Detroit Lions as its first ever official sportsbook & gaming partner.

WynnBET has made it clear that they are not resting on their elite sports betting provider status. The company has also proven that not even the intense seasonal summer sports betting slowdown will impede their desire to become one of, if not the top legal sports betting brand in the exploding US market.

Adding Three Brand Ambassadors

There has been a recent trend of sportsbooks boosting their profile through the signing of celebrity brand ambassadors. Not only do brand ambassadors raise a sportsbooks’ profile but they also serve to assist in the current mainstreaming of what was until 2018, a largely taboo subject in American society.

Former NFL stars Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Nick Mangold are now part of the WynnBET family as is U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team goalkeeper Tim Howard. All three will take on roles as company brand ambassadors right away and will become part of WynnBET advertising, content, and other marketing campaigns.

The three sports personalities will also appear regularly on a new podcast broadcasting from the Wynn Las Vegas Casino called BlueWire Podcast.

Nick Mangold on his new role said: “I’ve played football for almost my entire life, and never realized how entertaining it is to bet on the sport and interact with other fans about betting. Now that I’m retired, I’ve enjoyed learning the role that betting and social interaction plays in enhancing my enjoyment of the game. The WynnBET app makes that easy for me in my current home state of New Jersey. I’m excited to partner with WynnBET to let fans know what an entertaining and user-friendly experience the app provides.”

Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson commented that: “You know I love my fans, and Wynn is known for focusing on providing the best guest experience, which is why WynnBET is a perfect partner. This is all about connecting directly with sports betting fans to provide great entertainment and conversation through social media and in-person events.”

Adding the Detroit Lions

Perhaps the bigger news from WynnBET on Thursday was their naming of the Detroit Lions as official sportsbook & gaming partner. The deal represents the first ever for the betting provider with a team from the most bet on league on the planet, the NFL.

The mutually beneficial partnership gives WynnBET some valuable exposure in the already-hot Michigan market and gives the Lions a dedicated partner willing to enhance the “Lions experience” for their stable of dedicated fans.

WynnBET gains the usual critical brand exposure via the Lions’ mobile app, social media accounts, preseason TV broadcast, regular-season pregame TV programming, and in-game radio broadcasts. WynnBET signage will be visible throughout Ford Field, where the Lions call home, both inside and outside the stadium.

Accompanying the deal is the promise of “WynnBET Sports Bar at Ford Field”, a state-of-the-art year-round facility catering to fans 21 years and older. Not only will the Bar present a unique and exciting viewing experience but will also host brand ambassadors, present live betting lines, and food and drinks for casual and avid sports fans visiting Ford Field.

WynnBET promises new and exciting promotions for Lions fans, in and around Ford Field on game-days and 24/7 on the WynnBET app. Fun prizes will be available during WynnBET sponsored Lions Pride Plaza pre-game festivities and with the throng of other promotional events planned.

Along with the new partnership will come a new “Free To Play” WynnBET sponsored game on the Lions’ mobile app that will award prizes such as trips to Wynn Las Vegas, Lions season-and single-game tickets, Lions shop credits, and free bets on the WynnBET app.

The Evolution of the Partnership Deal

It seems that every week in the blossoming US legal sports betting scene brings with it a new partnership deal. It has become a crucial part of how sportsbooks do business. Sports betting providers, sports leagues, individual teams, and even pop-culture icons are all looking to become a part of an industry that has exponentially grown since 2018.

WynnBET has been at the forefront of the partnership blitz lately and isn’t expected to slow down its quest to become a go-to name in the sports betting world. Four additions to their family on one day is an impressive feat. Look for more in the near future.
